The organizers of the research Hidden Modernism | Mapping the Hidden Modernist Heritage invite you on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 14:00 a.m., invites you to the exhibition HIDDEN MODERNISM | The Hidden Modernist Heritage in Câmpina - an exhibition aimed at disseminating the results of the mapping of the modernist interwar heritage of the city, in the context of other contemporary styles and landmark buildings that contribute to the architectural-urban development of Câmpina.
The exhibition will take place at the "Geo Bogza" Culture House, a place of reference due to its proximity to two representative streets of the local modernist heritage: Mărășești Street and Griviței Street.

HIDDEN MODERNISM | Mapping the Hidden Modernist Heritage is a cultural initiative with a significant research component, supported by the Romanian Order of Architects, from the Architectural Stamp Duty. The project undertakes a pilot study to create a digital Atlas of Romanian modernist architecture, encompassing an exhaustive mapping of modernist buildings. These range from Bauhaus to moderate Art Deco modernism, including various local adaptations of this movement.
This project aims to unveil the yet undiscovered heritage of local modernist architecture and contextualize it with the works of acclaimed architects who have made significant contributions to local architecture. The atlas essentially serves as a monograph of the local modernist heritage, interpreted alongside local and national architectural models.
